P2Y

Welcome to P2Y!

In our classroom we work hard to create a safe, fun and happy environment for our children to learn to the best of their ability and reach their maximum potential.

Our P2Y class is made up of 4 fantastic boys and 4 amazing girls. Our busy days are filled full of many fun activites such as; topic themed multi-sensory play, circle time, music, movement, attention autism and outdoor learning.

We cater the curriculum to meet each child's specific needs, exploring numeracy and literacy through 1:1 work, small group activities and everyday experiences in the classroom. In P2Y the children enjoy developing their understanding of the world through other activites such as sensology, cooking and yoga.

We really do have so much fun in our class and I hope you enjoy seeing all that we get up to throughout the year!

An exciting and festive December in P2! This month we had great fun celebrating Christmas in many different ways; we explored our senses with a Christmas themed sensology, got creative with Christmas crafts, made our own Santa letters and posted them, as well as using our cookery skills to make magic reindeer food! P2 had a fantastic day meeting Santa Clause and doing their own christmas shopping in Poundland!

A fun filled Novemeber in P2! This month our topic was "To Infity and Beyond"! We enjoyed exploring our space topic in a multi-sensory aproach. We made tasty star shortbread, enjoyed learning about the planets through songs and sensory stories and made lots of space craft! The children loved "space themed sensology", where we felt slime and tasted flying saucers. Check out P2's amazing yoga poses during our space themed PE lesson! This month we also had so much fun celebrating Children in Need at our school's Pudsey Games smiley

Such a fun October! This month in P2 we read “The Gruffalo” and retold the story with The Gruffalo puppets. We enjoyed lots of Gruffalo themed play activities, made owl ice cream in cookery and had great fun going on a “Gruffalo hunt” in outdoor learning! We even got to enjoy lunch outdoors in the Gruffalo house 😊 P2 looked amazing dressed up for Halloween and had great fun at our school disco. The children loved our Halloween themed story “Room on the Broom” and used their numeracy skills to make a spooky potion.
