Welcome to P1.
In P1M our focus is on creating a safe and nurturing environment , making the transition from home life to school as seamless as possible.
We look at each child's individual needs as they join our class and together with the information that you share , including your priorities, create a plan that will enable your child to work towards reaching their potential.
In P1 we provide activities that will develop your child as a whole from building on their understanding and communication, improving their social skills , developing curricular areas such as literacy and numeracy alongside improving their physical well being through activities such as P.E., TAC PAC, sensory circuits and outdoor learning. Each day we strive to meet these needs through whole class, 1-1 time and small group activities.
We believe that children can actively learn through carefully structured play activities linking in with our topic or learning goals and that the best learning takes place when the children are happy , engaged and are having fun.
Some activities which the children especially enjoy include Attention Autism, circle time , PECs ,sensology, singing and music.
Our class team feel very privileged to be entrusted with your special children at the beginning of their school life and want to assure you that each day your child will feel that they have been cared for and valued as they leave for home.
