Chillax Youth Club

Chillax Youth Club has been running since 2012 for pupils of Killard House School. It provides a fun, safe and welcoming environment where young people can socialise, take part in activities and build friendships.

We now run two separate clubs on alternate Tuesday evenings during term time:

Junior Chillax (Years 8-10)

Location: Killard House School (Main School Building)
Time: 6:00pm - 7:30pm

Junior members enjoy a variety of activities including football, badminton, uni-hockey, Xbox gaming, arts and crafts, group games, and opportunities to relax with friends. We also provide sensory play experiences and access to sensory areas where pupils can unwind in a calm and supportive environment.

Reward events for Junior Chillax are held on-site and may include ice cream treats, pizza parties, bouncy castles and other special celebration events.

Senior Chillax (Years 11-15)

Location: Bangor Elim Church, 13 Balloo Crescent, Bangor, BT19 7WP
Time: 6:00pm - 7:30pm

Senior members can take part in sports, gaming, group activities and social events while enjoying time with friends in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Sensory resources and quiet spaces are also available to ensure everyone can participate comfortably.

Senior reward events include outings such as the cinema, Laser Quest and other community-based activities.

Cost

The cost is £3.00 per session. A tuck shop is available each week, selling drinks and snacks, so members are welcome to bring a little extra spending money if they wish.

Last term was great fun and we decided on the last night before Easter to arrange an inflatable assault course and a penalty shoot-out as a reward for all their fantastic behaviour. Everyone including staff had a great time, finishing off with Mauds ice cream. A nice way to end before the Easter break.

Some of the activities we have been doing in Chillax this year. Before half term we had two dance instructors and everyone took part showing off their moves. Super fun.  We have had pizza nights, movie nights, a chippy night to name a few. Mr Marshall and Mr Nelson baked pancakes for Pancake Tuesday and they were delicious! Hopefully lots more fun to be had before the Easter break.
