Welcome to P3C!

Our classroom is a happy, loving and fun environment where the children learn through exploration, creativity, and play. We provide lots of opportunities for the children to be creative with the focus not on the end result but on the process. We encourage them to absorb the experience, something that we believe they will take home in their thoughts and hearts. Our learning environment is child led with invitations to collaborate with peers, discover, explore, and develop investigation skills. We support children with a range of abilities and needs and work in partnership with Allied Health Professionals to support communication and sensory needs. P3C love to learn outdoors and we are blessed to have such a rich natural environment around us, both in school and in Donaghadee. Our favourite outdoor activities are nature scavenger hunts, and we love to display our treasures on our nature table in the classroom. In P3C we encourage children’s independence, our children especially love to help in class and each week they take on new class jobs. We use every experience to learn in P3C and always have fun whilst doing so!

September fun in P3C

We have had the best first month, reconnecting with our friends and making new friendships with our new teachers. Our topic has been 'All about me' and we loved sharing our 'All about me books' with our class, we talked all about our families and are proud of our very own books in our book corner. We enjoyed baking, we made apple crumble using apples from Mrs Caughey's tree and we made pancake and fruit faces. We loved our September fun day especially the icecream - what a treat! Our first Wednesday bus trip was to Portavogie Park we enjoyed climbing on the pirate ship and having a picnic too. We revised sounds S and A and explored sorting and matching in numeracy.
