Matthew's class
What a busy week! Great work and panto rehearsals.
In Maths, we finished our OCR unit on Measure by using a thermometer. Well done everyone.
We have finished our novel, and worked on costume design for different characters. Skulduggery and Valkyrie have saved the day, destroyed the indestructible Book of Names, broke the Sceptre and stopped Serpine; but who is controlling the White Cleaver? We will find out in the sequel in the new year.
In Home Management, we made some delicious crepes to practice our pan and flipping skills.
Hope you have a great weekend.
First week back and what a great week.
In Home Management, we tried our hand at making pancakes. We had a whole range from tall and fluffy to huge crepes. Delicious in every form!
We finished our Personal Skills unit in English. Well done everyone!
We are nearing the end of our novel. Will Skulduggery and Valkyrie be able to stop Serpine? Will Tanith die? We will have to wait and see.
With Lloyd, we started to learn how to play basketball.
Hope you have a great weekend.
How is it the last week of half-term?
We had our last week working in the Snack Shack. It was to great see everyone develop their customer service skills. Amazing work everyone!
In Home Management, we made Ribbon Pasta with carrots and courgette.
We continued measuring weights and capacity in Maths. In English, we proof-read and checked our form filling skills.
On Friday, we had a special visitor - Bob the Tortoise. It was great to learn all about him.
Hope you have a great half-term.

We got our sweat on with Lloyd doing circuits and running in PE.
It was brilliant to see everyone take part in our Spinathon on Friday. Big wheels kept on turning as we cycled. If you can, please donate to our Cash for Kids fund.

Hope you have a great weekend.
What a busy week that was!
For the month of October, we will be working in our Snack Shack. It was great to see everyone working together to get the shop up and running, and helping customers find everything they need.
After all that hard work, we needed to replenish our energy by making soda bread in Home Management.

What a busy September that was, and we're not done yet!
We had a blast from the past in Be The Best You as we thought about what we post online and how it is there forever, especially when we watched old school videos of the class singing in Primary.
In Home Management, we practised our cutting skills as we made vegetable couscous.
We planted our garlic cloves in Horticulture. We hope to transplant these outside and use in Home Management.
On the Wednesday Bus, we travelled to Newtownards Town Centre and had to navigate to Ards Shopping Centre using maps and signposts to help us. We even got a visit to Paddington!
Hope you have a great weekend.
Another busy week in our class.
On Monday, we made delicious Double Decker Sandwiches with ham, lettuce and tomato.
The fingers and toes were almost out in Maths as we practised our number and money skills.
In English, we worked on our novel by recalling key parts of the story so far. From Mr Bliss, China Sorrows, Ghastly Bespoke, Tanith Low and Nefarian Serpine, we don't know who to trust and, more importantly, who killed Gordon?
With Wendy, we started to look at people who inspire us.
We broke a sweat with Lloyd in PE as we completed circuits.
For Pupil Choice, we had a session with Sandi. There were lots of high-fives and paws given.
Hope you have a great weekend.
Hello, and welcome to our class page!
What a busy two weeks already. After some team building games on the first day, we drew ourselves in the style of Snoopy. Who knew I had so many great artists in my class. We started our novel Skulduggery Pleasant, which is all about a magic, skeleton detective trying to solve the murder case of his best friend, whose niece has decided to join him on the adventure. Let's hope we don't find anything in the basement! We started the year healthy by making a fruit salad in Home Management. In Maths, we reviewed our adding and subtracting skills, and some time and money. We practised our comprehension and spelling skills in English.
Hope you have a great weekend.
