Welcome to our P5 class.

In our classroom, we believe every child deserves a nurturing, supportive environment where they feel safe and valued. Katya and Erin support our class and work closely together to ensure each child's needs are met. To ensure each child's sensory needs are met we have a classroom which has spaces for movement, play and relaxation.

We follow the Equals Informal Curriculum and we respond thoughtfully to each individual child's needs. Our curriculum is child-led and focuses on communication. A key feature of our learning approach is a focus on a core word for a few weeks. This word (e.g., stop) acts as a central theme which guides our activities and play, supporting children's communication skills. Our KS2 Adventure class focuses on developing independence and life skills, including dressing and undressing, cookery, travel training and confidently transitioning between different areas of the school.
