Lloyd's class
This week, Lloyd’s class have been working on the OCR Life and Living Skills unit Shopping for Daily Living and Shopping for Ingredients. The students focused on developing practical, real-life skills to help them become more confident and independent when planning and completing shopping tasks. They practised making shopping lists, identifying items in a shop, comparing prices, and using money appropriately at the checkout.
As part of the unit, the class applied these skills by shopping for ingredients to make tomato and bacon pasta. The students followed a simple recipe, measured and prepared ingredients, and worked together to cook the meal safely. This activity helped to reinforce key life skills such as communication, teamwork, hygiene, and following instructions. Everyone enjoyed tasting their finished dish and reflecting on what went well and what they might do differently next time. Check out the video below.
Wednesday 1st October - Home management - Loaded Baked Potatoes
Another excellent, busy week completed by Lloyd's LEGENDS!
On Monday we looked at time and taking time to look after our bodies. Tuesday we had our circuit class and everyone work extremely hard. Even during the extra laps!! Home management on Wednesday had us making lovely toasties and on Friday we learnt about Rap music and the history of rap for Pupil choice - Ferris.
