    Christmas Lights for KHS ๐ŸŽ„

One of our lovely school parents, Chrissy, has decorated her house with lots of festive lights to help raise money for Killard House School. It’s a brilliant way to spread some Christmas cheer and support our school at the same time!

If you're passing by Ballyhalbert, feel free to stop and enjoy the display. Donations are welcome and will go directly towards resources and activities for our pupils.

  • ๐ŸŽ‰ A day of celebration at Killard House School!ย ๐ŸŽ‰

    Wed 01 Oct 2025

๐ŸŽ‰ A day of celebration at Killard House School! ๐ŸŽ‰

Today we officially opened our brand-new inclusive playground, thanks to the incredible support of Wooden Spoon – the children’s charity of rugby. Their generous grant of £13,000 has transformed our vision into reality, creating play sheds, a castle, a clatter bridge, and a dino ramp that will benefit every pupil at Killard.

    We are also grateful to:

    • Tesco Stronger Starts, who contributed £1,000 towards stocking the sheds with resources.
    • Our parents, for their generous contributions to help stock the sheds.
    • And our community, whose support through the Tesco blue token scheme and encouragement throughout has been invaluable.

At Killard, play isn’t just fun—it’s a core part of learning, supporting communication, social skills, regulation, and imagination. This new playground will give our pupils opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive every single day.

๐Ÿ‘ Thank you Wooden Spoon for believing in this vision, and to everyone who played a part in making it possible.
