Year 9 Mrs Anderson
Today should have been the last day of term before the summer holidays! Instead we've all been at home for over 3 months and it's all been very strange and certainly not what we ever expected.
I have really enjoyed being your form teacher and am just sorry it got cut short. It was so lovely getting to know you all, seeing your happy smiling faces, and hearing all your chat. I have really missed that!
I hope you all have a great summer. Whatever you do, stay safe and keep smiling
Miss you loads! Love Mrs A x

Week beginning 04/05/2020 Mr Nelson Numeracy Tasks......................................................Hi Year 9, hope you are all still doing really good. It was strange having some rain this week; it had been a while. Joseph, Will and I went puddle hunting and had a great time splashing. I hope the sun will be back out again this week. We would have been of this Friday coming for a Bank Holiday so maybe treat yourself to a 4-day week 😊. I have allocated some new books and some maths games. I’m putting up a time capsule this week for you to start (colour the cover and complete the first 2 pages) and work on over the next few weeks. We are living through something that will be talked about for years to come, so thought it would be cool for you to store some of your information in it. I am also posting some numeracy pages based on length. As always have a good go on what suits you. Please don’t be stressing about it. Miss you all, Mr N 😊
Can you guess the names of any of the staff in this picture? To find out who they are and what they're up to go to the Physical Education section in classes
Hey Year 9, I hope you have had a good week. I’ve been very thankful for the weather during this time. It has been amazing that we have been able to get outside so much and not be stuck inside all day. I am putting up an exercise to do alongside the new Rapid books I’ve given you this week. I have also put up some 2D and 3D shape pages for you to have a go at, with some games on Active Learn. Have a great week. Miss you all Mr Nelson ☺️
Dear Parents / Guardians, As explained in the school comms message that was sent home regarding new resources being uploaded for this term please check out the 2 help sheets that will hopefully allow you to access the Active Learn website from home. Once logged in you should be able to access Literacy / Numeracy and Science activities / resources for your son / daughter set by individual teachers. Teachers will explain on class pages what activities they have set and then hopefully when you get logged into Active Learn you will find specific resources / tasks / e-books set for your child. The first help sheet explains how to get on to the Active Learn website and how to log in. The second help sheet gives similar information followed by more specific details about e-reading books set for your child. Thank you Mrs A McBratney
Hey Year 9, I hope you have had an amazing Easter and got to spend lots of time out in the sunshine. I have to say I did have Easter egg for breakfast on more than one occasion and I hope you did as well. I have set some reading tasks on Rapid Read for my literacy group, pick one of the book reviews and give it a go. I have also set some time work for all of Year 9 to try, worksheets and allocated a time game as well in Active Learn just have a go with in your own ability. Remember to go outside as well and get lots of fresh air and exercise. Miss you all lots, Love Mr N
Year 9s in Mr Nelson's class please have a go at reviewing one of the books I have set you for reading this week. There are 3 different level book reviews, try one that is with in your ability. Many thanks Mr N :)

Hi Yr9. Hope you are all well. It’s all very strange not being in school and seeing all your happy faces and hearing all your chat. Try not to spend all your time on computers and PlayStations etc but get outside when you can even if it’s only in your garden. Found this wee Easter puzzle which you could print out and colour. Stay safe and well. Mrs A 😀
Hello boys and girls I so wish we were all back in school enjoying our time together.
I want you all to try your best to read daily -it can be anything that is of interest to you.
Perhaps you could keep a daily journal, write about all the things you are now doing at home .
Please keep learning these spellings :the, and,to,said, a and but .
Weather has been improving so get some fresh air ,don’t sit inside all day.
Take care of each other .
