For those of you learning your tables, keep going at your own pace. Also choose a book from home and complete a book review. If you need to extend it beyond the attached page feel free to do so. Also have a go at the maths challenge and work your way through the Titanic reading lesson with your family at home. For those of you working on your tables if you also practice the 3 times tables this week that would be great! I have enclosed the answers for the factor tree code breaking so no peeking these are for your parents only! For your news report research what happened to the Titanic using internet explorer and video reports on youtube, and then write a newspaper of your own describing these historic events! You will have to think of a headline and a name for your newspaper also! The letter for parents and carers also outlines other activities and resources you guys can all easily access and use throughout the week to stay busy. This week in SCU7.B the boys have had lots of fun doing a lot of different activities for sports relief week. There has been lots of throwing, kicking, running and walking and learning about all the benefits of an active lifestyle.
This week in SCU7.B we enjoyed a trip to a keeping safe day in Bangor Elim Church Complex. The boys enjoyed learning about how to stay safe at home and when out in their local communities as well as keeping safe when online.
This week the boys in SCU7.B enjoyed pancake Tuesday when they made their own pancakes! They turned out really well and all the boys enjoyed eating them with their different toppings. The boys also enjoyed shared education this week when we set up an online chat room so they could talk and communicate much easier with all the boys and girls from Donaghadee Primary School and get to know more about eachother.
This week SCU7.B have had lots of fun enjoying trips out bowling and trampolining as a reward for all their hard work over the last few weeks.They had so much fun playing together and cheering each other on and supporting one another.
SCU7.B have had a busy week and loved going out to see Ballywalter Fire Station. We loved going for a ride in the fire engine and having a go with the hose and also learning about fire safety. In class we have also enjoyed some social board games and making new friendships. We made and presented powerpoint slides on our new friends in the computer suite. We have also enjoyed a birthday party this week for Jack Connor who turned 11 years old. Happy birthday Jack!
This week in SCU7.B we have really enjoyed getting to know the boys and girls from Donaghadee Primary School during the Shared Education lessons. We have been making new friendships and learning about each other and talking about the things we like both inside and outside of school.
SCUP.7B have enjoyed orienteering and developing their navigational skills and learning how to use a map and a compass with Mrs Curry in P.E this week.
SCUP.7B had a busy week. We went bird watching at Rockport and then had a great day during the start of the Shared Education Project with Donaghadee Primary School. We enjoyed completing obstacle courses and having fun team relay races and getting to know the boys and girls from Donaghadee Primary School.
SCUP.7B have enjoyed starting their new topic on healthy eating and living this week.
SCUP.7B enjoyed lots of Christmas activities this week that included visiting Santa and playing Christmas games like pass the parcel and musical statues.
SCUP.7B enjoyed going for ice-cream this week as a special treat for all their hard work they put in for the Key Stage 2 Christmas show.
This week in SCU7.B we enjoyed a trip to the transport museum and putting up our class Christmas tree and doing some fun art activities to help decorate our classroom.
This week in SCU7.B we enjoyed a visit from the Eco-bus and we enjoyed learning about the importance of re-cycling and what happens to waste when it is taken to the dump. We also got to make some re-cycled badges and book marks!
This week we enjoyed some fun art activities with Mrs Swift as part of our Rights Respecting School project.
SCU7B had a great day working with Mrs Hart in the secondary art room and then going on a Pudsy bear hunt.
SCUP.7B had a great day out at the Waterfront Hall this week watching the Ulster Orchestra play lots of different music from all around the world.
SCUP.7B had a great last day before the holidays. We carved pumpkins, made scary halloween biscuits, had a class party with a halloween movie and loved dancing at the school disco.
SCUP.7B had a great day at the local leisure center when we had some time on the trampolines and then loved watching the play of The Wizard of Oz back in school.
SCUP.7B enjoyed finishing their lessons on healthy living this week with the visitors we had in school and really enjoyed the fun team games to show the benefits of exercise.

SCUP.7B have really enjoyed the new class topic on 'The Human Body' and this week have been looking at the skeletal system.
P.7B had a great day out at Mount Stewart. We went on a nature walk, played in the forest park and had some hot chocolate to finish off a great day
P.7B have been doing some self-portraits in art for our Rights Respecting School display board and talking about how everyone has the right to their own name.
SCU7B have been glad to be back to school this week and have enjoyed catching up with their friends and all the holiday news and are enjoying getting to know their new classroom.
