P7 have had a great week and are really enjoying the classroom break, trying all sorts of new fruits, veg and other foods. We are loving our new Stars in P7 board where we are recognised for what we do! We also had a wonderful time over at Donaghadee PS P5 thinking about what makes us who we are!
Today we met Greyabbey P7’s in Mount Stewart for our first day of Forest School. We gathered round the campfire for a snack, then headed up the hill to learn about the importance of camouflage in nature. We worked together to make Mandalla’s out of sticks and leaves, then used loppers to help get rid of some pesky brambles. We finished with a mug of hot orange juice and said goodbye to our new friends.
We had great fun today making new friends in Donaghadee Primary school on our shared education day. We played games this morning and tired ourselves out on bouncy castles this afternoon.
P7 had a great morning walking with SCU 5 along the coastal path from Crawfordsburn to Helen’s Bay. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed hot chocolate and some treats!

We enjoyed a great party with games and some party food in the afternoon!
We had an amazing visit to Santa’s Grotto today and enjoyed chatting to Santa and his lovely elves.
We had a lot of fun making stained glass trees today using black paint and oil pastels.
This morning we did some word work with Phonics. We learnt how to spell some new words and wrote out sentences. Everyone worked really hard.
P7 got very creative today making our Christmas stockings for Santa’s Grotto. What a fabulous result! 🎄
P7 did an amazing job in their last ever primary concert. We are incredibly proud of how well they did, dressing up, learning lines and songs, sitting on stage and performing! Just quite simply a wonderful morning and the children were fantastic! We hope you all enjoyed it! Here is a wee taste... more photos to come.
We went trampolining on Thursday morning as a PE treat. Everyone did tuck jumps, straddles and even seat drops! Amazing progress in just 2 sessions! We even got to watch JJ’s winning routine.
We went on the Eco bus this afternoon and learnt all about reusing and recycling. We saw toys, teddies and bags made from recycled products and got to make an eco badge each.
Today we learnt how to program our Bee-Bots to arrive at a chosen destination by using the left, right and forward button.
We had a wonderful Wednesday bus trip out in the rain! We enjoyed a welcome hot-chocolate stop at Greyabbey PS by kind invitation and then headed to Mount Stewart to enjoy the sights, smells and sounds! P7, together with SCU5, made the most of the short time enjoying the gorgeous surroundings of the lake and thinking about Autumn!
P7 had great fun experimenting and blending colours to make sunsets with watercolours.
We were learning how to tell our left from our right . We did this by playing the Hokey Cokey.
We had an AMAZING day at the Ulster Orchestra in the Waterfront Hall. We learnt about lots of different music, instruments and dances from all over the world and even got to be conductor for the final song.
Today we had a party, a pumpkin competition, a fancy dress parade and lots of dancing at the Hallowe’en Bop. What a day!
P7 enjoyed making chocolate apples today.

P7 had a ‘blast’ today at Colour Blast 2019. The rain didn’t dampen our spirits. Everyone had great fun.
We had a very special morning at The Walled Garden in Bangor! We played in the park before and after our visit inside the Garden, where we collected 'colours', sketched and took in all that was around us - including the robin, who followed us around singing! It was very beautiful and well worth a visit if you are in the area!
P7 have enjoyed lots of things this week in school and out - playing our maths games, making our Class Charter, trampolining and our wonderful pupil of the week is Caitlin! 27.9.19
This week P7 have been making their own numeracy games and we were delighted for Aidan who was our Pupil of the Week on Friday 20th September.
P7 have had a wonderful start to the year - all of the children are excited to start their last year of primary school!
