May Highlights:

This month we continued our Fantasy Lands Topic. We arrived into school one morning to discover that our dragon eggs had hatched and the baby dragons had flown out of the open window!

We had a lovely Wednesday bus trip to the Walled Garden in Bangor where we played in the park and then went for a walk around the gardens. We particularly liked the kitchen garden where we spotted many different types of fruit and vegetables growing.

During the month of May we started to use the den building area, and there was fantastic team work whilst building some amazing dens together.

March and April Highlights:

After Easter we began our 'Fantasy Lands' topic. A mother dragon asked for our help as she had lost her eggs. We searched outside and found the giant dragon eggs which we kept safe and warm in our classroom. During an outdoor learning sessions we completed obstacle courses whilst carrying dragon eggs (water balloons). Thankfully no one was too wet afterwards!

A highlight was going on the Wednesday bus to Seapark in Hollywood. We took the train from Bangor Central to Holywood and had great fun playing on the beach and at the park there. The bus then brought us back to school.

In September we had great fun settling back into school, and our new classroom. We spent time learning where everything was, and started making some new friends too. We enjoyed sitting together every morning to greet each other during our circle time.

We completed some 'Getting to know you' activities that helped us learn about each others families, and our likes and dislikes. We then started our 'Food, Glorious Food' topic.

One of our favourite days was when Pathways Activities came into school. We were able to play on the bouncy castles, get tattoos, and enjoy an ice-cream!

We also went out on the Wednesday bus to Mount Stewart, and worked together to build dens there.
