Today was Time to Talk day as part of World Children Mental Health Week. This year's slogan is “The Power of Small”. Year 12/13 bubble created positive posters and placed them around school to make staff and pupils smile. We hoped that by doing something ‘small’ such as creating posters, it would have a huge impact on the Killard families day. To take ‘Time to Talk’, we went out for a walk and talked to a partner. Every five minutes we swapped partners until we had talked to everyone in our bubble. We spent the afternoon talking about Mental Health and how we feel about Coronavirus and being in lockdown. Finally the year 12/13 bubble decided to do another small act of kindness, in the form of sending an email to people who we thought could do with cheering up.

Around the world with the Year 12/13 bubble. In Geography we picked our favourite countries and researched as much as we could about them. Once we had found the information we mirrored our iPads to the screen and presented our findings to the rest of the class. We then found a really fun and competitive game involving picking up passengers. We took it in turns to play and again we mirrored our iPads to the screen to allow the rest of the class to see our attempts. A really enjoyable trip and well done on your presentations Year 12/13👍👍

No short circuits in Year12/13 bubble today! Excellent everyone! Great work at the end of the video Tianna, sorry Mrs Main and Miss Greer.🏀🏀

Welcome to Mrs Main’s Market Madness and Miss Greer’s Greengrocers! Today the Year 12/13 bubble went shopping for a bargain. Each pupil selected their shopping items from the list provided. Once they had their shopping list they visited the shops and talked to the shopkeepers to find out the cost of each item. The pupils challenge was to find out which shop sold the items the cheapest.

After all the hard work this week we all enjoyed our reward time. Harry played Jurassic World on the Xbox. Jack,Justin,Jason and Dylan played a pool competition. Jazmin, Tianna and Mr Marshall played our new favourite dice game called Fluff. Toby watched a tennis exhibition game on the iPad and then had his own exhibition match against Mr Marshall outside. We took opportunity to walk to the water tower and played football and basketball.
