Our new topic is Fairytales! This week our Fairytale was Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We read the story, listened to a story song and had lots of topic play. Everyone loved the porridge oats and flour sensory tray, our Three Bears Cottage small world play and making porridge bowls. At the start of the week we had a Halloween party and some of us dressed up for it! We loved dancing to the Halloween songs and showing off our moves. We painted firework paintings for all our school to see.
This week we enjoyed Halloween attention bucket with confetti and party blowers. We had a lovely time on our Autumn walk with Mrs Massey's class. On our walk we saw lots of carved statues of woodland animals and collected leaves, sticks and pine cones. In play we used the tweezers to get the spiders into the cauldron and lots of messy play in the foam tray! Have a lovely break
We have loved the foam in our sensory tray! Lots of fun feeling it on our hands and clapping so that the foam falls everywhere! This week our nursery rhyme was Baa Baa Black Sheep, we sang the song and did lots of activities like using tongs to round up the ping pong ball sheep, using our fingers to push the cotton wool into the sheep basket and of course learning some of the Makaton signs when we have sang Baa Baa Black Sheep.
This week in P1 we enjoyed learning the nursery rhyme Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, we had great fun in dance with P1b. We loved attention bucket watching the balloon POP and the glitter covered us all! We have been doing lots of fine motor activities and practicing holding our pencils, chalk and crayons! We have done some beautiful drawing.
This week in P1 we celebrated Logan's birthday! Happy Birthday Logan! We enjoyed attention bucket, painting our boats as we learnt the rhyme 'row row row your boat' this week. We enjoyed our play times and practising our fine motor skills.
This week in P1 we enjoyed learning the Hickory Dickory Dock nursery rhyme. We had fun using the musical instruments in Jo Jingles, playing in the sensory tray, practicing our fine motor skills with mouse pegs and 'cheese', construction toys, singing hands and making paper plate mice for our display board.
