Hi Foundation A! Hope you are enjoying all the lovely weather we have been having! Here are some new activities for you to try at home this week! Mrs McCormick
Hi Foundation A! Hope everyone is well! Welcome back to our class home learning suggestions! I have tried to be a little more specific in some of the home learning activities but as always these are only suggestions. Below I have uploaded some ideas and activities that hopefully you will find useful at home. For the next 6 weeks our class topic was to be ‘Fairy Tales’ with us covering a different fairy tale each week in class! I have divided the learning into ‘Literacy and Language’ activities, ‘Mathematics and Numeracy’ activities and ‘other’ activities and have uploaded additional resources where I thought they might be useful. Please use your child’s most recent IEP to guide you in assessing what activities are most suitable for your child. This week I have also uploaded a PECS guide in which I’ve tried to explain how you can keep working on PECS communication at home and how to progress through the phases of PECS. I have also tried to include some short YouTube videos which will hopefully help! Again, use your most recent IEP to advise you what phase your child is currently working at. Tacpac are also offering parents ‘set 5’ of their programme free of charge to use at home. I have uploaded instructions on how to access this below. For the mathematics and numeracy, all children will now have access to our online Heinmann Activ Maths resources. This enables me to allocate any activities/ games specifically to your child. Only parts of this online resource are really suitable for our children so don’t worry if you don’t see lots of allocated resources when you log in. I have uploaded a guide on how to access these resources below! Thinking about you all, Mrs McCormick
Good Morning Foundation A! I have posted below some more ideas for home for this week. Please remember, these ideas are here to guide you, not to put you under pressure. We’re missing all your little faces and thinking about you all! Mrs McCormick and the FA team
Dear parents, please find attachments below that will hopefully provide you with some home support. New activities will be uploaded weekly. I want to thank you on behalf of the whole Foundation A team for your support throughout the year and pass on our best wishes to you all at this difficult time, Mrs McCormick
Foundation A have been busy doing lots of flower and growing themed painting and craft activities and we enjoyed making grass heads!
We enjoyed sharing some of our favourite books with our friends on World Book Day!
This week Foundation A started their new ‘Growing’ topic. We built a greenhouse in our classroom and enjoyed playing with the flowers in the soil! We did some lovely flower painting and did lots of flower themed fine motor activities.
We also enjoyed making pancakes on pancake Tuesday!
